“Condolences for President Magufuli”

Jakarta, March 18th 2021

It is with great sadness that we would inform the demise of His Excellency DR. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, the seating President of the United Republic of Tanzania on Wednesday 17th March 2021 at 6.00pm East Africa Time (EAT)

We would like to express our deepest condolences for the loss of one great leader to the Government of Tanzania, the people and the bereaved family. Our hearts and prayers are with you, and may you find solace during this difficult time.

Africa has lost a champion of regional cooperation in the East African region and a committed Pan Africanist leader.  His Excellency President Magufuli was a true son of Tanzania and a devoted servant to its people. His lifetime of service contributed greatly to the development of Tanzania and economic stability of the region.

We honor his legacy and mourn his loss alongside his family and our brothers and sisters, the people of Tanzania. May God rest his soul in eternal peace, Amen.
